Want to do the
SLIP SLOP SLAP Rap???
Once upon a time lived a man named a
Dan.
He was an ambitious architect with big plans.
From Arizona, but his toes never touched the sand.
The funny thing about Dan was he always had a tan.
He went to the local tanning salon anytime he had a chance.
Soaking up fake sun rays like hydroponic plants.
Then one day Dan went to the doctor, cause he felt awkward.
And some odd moles appeared larger and darker.
The doctor didn’t seem shocked or perplexed when
He saw Dan’s coppery complexion.
The doctor mumbled, but after more tests,
The doctor diagnosed Dan with malignant melanoma.
And that ain’t good kids.
Let me tell you a story about Sunny
Rae.
A beautiful girl who tanned every day.
Concerned about her waist, she watched what she ate.
And with no sunscreen she sat and she baked.
Her nut brown skin looked great - But it ain’t.
And then she got some moles that popped up on her face.
And then she got the sores- they got crusty and they flaked.
Her doctor told her it was squamous cell carcinoma.
She could’ve done something...some lotions on her shoulders.
She should’ve worn long sleeves and a kanga with her rollers.
Now her friends sit on the beach in Pomona.
Catching chemo, she’s a loner.
Trying to outlast it, the cyst turned metastatic. Cancer hit her
lymphatic.
Now Sunny Rae, Sunny Day has suddenly turned tragic.
Chorus:
Slip Slop Slap, Slip Slop Slap
Slip on some long pants, a long Tee
Slap on some sunglasses, a H-A-T
Slop on some sunscreen, something over SPF 15
Slip Slop Slap, Slip Slop Slap
Don’t be discouraged though, you can
still have fun in the sun safely.
Personally, I prefer SPF 30 sun tan lotion:
Working in the yard, at the pool or in the ocean.
I put in on before I’m exposed to the sun.
Under my clothes and some - After I get out of the water.
If you do that it makes it harder
To end up like tan Dan and Sunny Rae.
See you can prevent the dangers of a sunny day. |
